I planted this fuji apple tree a few years ago. It’s in my backyard. I painted the blossoms and sky en plein air and took photos of the bumble bee at work. I added the bee in the studio from photo reference. I love the way the bee is flying and the contrails in the sky echo the idea of flight. Accidental poetry. I need to find my Southern Oregon Bumble Bee reference guide so I can try to identify the specific type of bee!
